I like this one: opening speech on HBO's "the Newsroom"

Can you say in 1 sentence why America is the greatest country in the world?
Answer: it is not. The most shocking answer to Americans.

Everything that needs to be said has already been said.
But since no one was listening, everything must be said again.

Here is a rather distasteful topic which however illustrates how far public administrations are willing to go in need for cash:

A shocking recent media report pointed out that public cemeteries in Germany understand the term "freegold" rather as "free gold". State TV aired a report stating that larger cities are making good money out of filtering gold teeth out of the ashes of burned bodies. Cities like Nuremberg make up to 250,000 Euro per year by selling the gold teeth.

It may sound perfectly weird, but German funeral regulations are (unlike e.g. very liberal Dutch regulations) very, very restrictive. Every little tiny bit is regulated. Cities have now oped to also regulate the property rights for gold teeth. If your body thus gets burned in a city operated crematory within Germany your gold teeth (if you have some) do not belong to you or your beneficiaries but the city.

Thus, Nuremberg last year has purchased some electric golf carts (a better name might be "gold carts" :D ) and public restrooms from the "free gold" taken from dead people.

In a fact they continue the work of father Adolf during WWII: before we will burn you we will take your golden teeth.

In this case it's rather "after" burning but it left the same connotation with me...

Did anyone do the calculation, if say there is 2 gram of gold in a tooth filling? How many left teeth would that have been?
