New user

Some/most people will know me from the goud.com forum. I left there because of narrow minds.
I heard from indy about this place, and am curious if this will go somewhere.
An open mind is a good place to start, the only way to learn is from each other. It is all about perspective.

free your mind
your ass will follow

Greetings all,

It is nice to see such a forum emerge; thank you Boefke for the invitation.

I look forward to following the discussion, hopefully being exposed to some new perspectives, and perhaps submitting the odd observation for the consideration of the other members.

Cheers

Hi,

Lets introduce myself. I am a 30 years old from Amsterdam. As a boy, during the '90s I wondered how the economy could florish like it did. The stockmarket went up year after year, the real estate market was the same story. At that time I couldnt grasp how this could be possible, without any knowledge about growing moneysupply and such (growing debt). But I knew there was something wrong. I wont say a growing moneysupply is allways bad, but last years it became exponential. After Lehmann Brothers I felt secure enough about my opinion to start buying gold. At that time things happened I really didnt expected. The bail-outs, bad banks, QE, if you told me this should happen five years ago, I probably would have laughed in your face.

I am not a pessimist, I am not afraid about the future. We need change, not from Obama, but real change, because we have to. The coming years will force us to change. I expect the economy will become more local, more local produced (and seasonal) food and other products. Maybe beans from Kenia will become to expensive, and do we really need strawberries in december, or grapes in may?

Last years I spent a lot of time on forums, blogs and other websites about the financial system, and the position of gold in this system. More and more I see Freegold is the most reasonable solution. Thanks to those who created this forum. I am sure it will become big, and we will share a treasure of knowledge together!

Hello,

Glad to find this Freegold Forum. I left GoudForum.com because I can't understand why we have to pay to discuss about freegold.

Let's free our mind!

Hi,

First of all let me say Thank you for the initiative of creating this forum.

As many of the people on this forum, I used to follow the activity on the goud.com forum until it closed.
Via the cash forum, I came across this forum, and immediately it looked very familiar to me :-)

Hi, I’m "Spruitje", 42 years old (male & single ;) ) from Belgium. Last month I was still a newbie at the “Goudforum” but I had a problem with the new vision of the site.
I was searching for a new forum to discuss about gold.
I look forward to read new ideas/visons and I hope that a lot of members here become good friends and if its possible: to meet someone with a crystal ball perhaps ;-)

Hi Spruitje,

I recommend you simply polish your own crystal ball... that's what makes one free afterall: making the best of what you have, and taking responsibility for the consequences. Every time you do, your own "crystal ball" becomes a little clearer, and you a little wiser. Who could possibly evaluate what is best for you better than yourself?

I agree, paying to discuss is not in the spirit of things. All the best sources are free, IMHO.

There were many interesting members at "Goudforum", but I didn't/couldn't follow the conversation due to the lost in translation factor. Hope to have more success here; good to see the members list growing.

Cheers,

Blondie

Top universities : With most of scientific journals and textbooks in English and the majority of the international student and academic population fluent in this language, it's not a miracle to see the top 10 populated exclusively by UK and US universities. Tuition fees are excessive among all of them: Harvard is not a unique case.
Finding affordable university education is another problem. In order to avoid starting your career with a six digit student loan debt, you'd rather start improving your German or French and study in Europe. In Scandinavian countries enrolling at a university is free of charge.
