Hi all,

first of all my thanks for admin and the others that made this forum possible. I was a member of the "other" forum since 2009 but left there for obvious reasons.

A word about myself: I'm in my thirties, from Belgium (Flemish part) and software engineer.

Hello, I also found my way up to this forum, coming from cash and later goud.com.
I'm glad to see many people finding their way to this forum. I'm more a reader than a poster and would like to thank all of you for your contributions.

Hello, I read FOFOA's essay 'Moneyness' earlier this week and found it both enjoyable and challenging. Using Google, I looked for a place that I might participate in a discussion of the essay. First, I came across some comments at TradeWithDave that focused on the term 'free gold'. Adding that term to my search, I came across Boefke's post that mentioned 'Moneyness'. This seemed like an open minded place to talk.

Personally I experience this forum as very open. Both fofoa (freegold) and Martin Armstrong (web link) are discussed here with an open mind. Nobody can look into the future so let/s find out where this stuff brings us.

Glad to have found the new freegold forum.

I was a reader at Goudforum for several years, it used to be the best Dutch gold forum but all good things come to an end. The board has become increasingly narrow-minded, a lot of relevant topics can't be discussed without ridicule and if you dare speak about silver you're ostracized.

Criticism towards freegold is dismissed by saying you lack proper understanding, questions on how freegold is supposed to work frequently go unanswered, or you get a wall-of-text response that isn't to the point. Not a great place for people wanting to learn about gold or freegold, especially not if you want them to pay for it.

If the apostles had preached Christianity like "forum-goud-com /freegold-advocates" do, nobody would have known who Jesus was and the Bible would be a unique ancient relic, hidden somewhere deep down in a monastery. Known to nobody and read by nobody. ;)

Dear all,

Just saying hi, new member, been discussing things you talk about here with friends for a long time. I might have a slightly different view than some here, as I do not believe the monetary system we have right now will fail, I do not see hyper inflation happening anywhere in the "Western world" (including the US) and I am not sure gold is the right thing to invest in. But I find the discussion very interesting and I hope I will be able to contribute a little to it.

Kind regards,

Fjutt

Looking at the current monetary & sovereign debt drama from different angles can only enrich the discussion.
